Macintosh SE (with FDHD upgrade)

My Macintosh SE (added to my collection in 1998).

  • 68000 CPU @ 8Mhz
  • 4MB RAM
  • 9.1GB HD (partitioned in 2GB chunks)
  • MacOS 7.1
  • 1.44MB SuperDrive (FDHD)
  • LocalTalk connected with my other Mac’s and IIgs
  • Asante 10Base-T Ethernet adapter
  • FDHD upgrade was performed via logic board and drive swap from SE FDHD which had physical damage to case.

    Hi!

thank you for posting this Mac SE specs!

i recently acquired an SE and want to connect it to ethernet.
what is the make/model of your ethernet card so i can try get one?

You know I am not sure what the model is of it, I know the “Asante MacCon SE” cards are the easiest to find though, they pop up on ebay every so often. Keep in mind the SE and the SE/30 have different bus layouts, so they are NOT interchangeable, so if you have an SE, don’t get the SE/30 version or vice versa.
