Compaq Cyrix 266mhz
This is my “tweener” machine (in-between machine, new enough to get on the net, old enough to support ISA and Floppy).
My Compaq Cyrix 266 (built from parts in 2012)
- Cyrix 266mhz on GA-5SMM
- 512mb PC100 SDRAM
- 20GB HD
- 1.44MB 3.5″ & 1.2MB 5.25″ Floppies
- Intel Pro 100/S PCI NIC
- Windows 95b, Windows NT4 Wks, Windows 98se triple boot (OSL2000 Boot Manager)
- Front view
- Inside view
I built this PC with spare parts, its ironic I chose a scrapped Compaq case because the motherboard turned out to have a Compaq BIOS splash on it, so in all senses it is a Compaq machine, just not assembled by Compaq, lol.
