My Timex DataLink (150) watch, I purchased this watch in about 1998 and used it daily up until the time I switched to LCD monitors in 2001ish, it synced to the PC by pulsing/flashing the CRT monitor at a sensor on the watch, unfortunately with the way LCD monitors work, it was just not compatible with them.
