My daily driver laptop, a Lenovo X1 Carbon ultrabook

• i5-5300U dual core 2.3ghz base 2.9ghz turbo
• 8GB RAM
• 256GB SSD
• 14″ WQHD multi-touch display
• Linux Mint 21.1LTS

I got this laptop from my work, I was the original user of it, when it was retired from service there, I was allowed to take it home for personal use.  I use this as my backup travel laptop, it’s not super powerful, but it’s thin, light and fairly power efficient, good for basic web use.  My Thinkpad X1 Yoga has taken over as my primary lightweight travel laptop now.

If I need a more powerful laptop for messing with virtual machines or light 3D gaming I will use my W540 but it’s big, heavy, and battery life is not great, you pretty much need to be attached to the wall with it.
